Aftercare FAQs
What is the T.U.M.B.L.E. aftercare program?
T.U.M.B.L.E. — Teaching, Understanding, Mobility, Brainstorming, Laughing, and Excellence — is TGR's one-of-a-kind aftercare program. It combines our state-of-the-art gymnastics facility and professional coaching staff with experienced educators to create an afternoon your child will actually look forward to. There is nothing else like it in the area.
What should my child bring to T.U.M.B.L.E.?
Their backpack, homework, a sealed water bottle, and athletic clothing — form-fitting with no buttons, zippers, or hard parts, and hair secured if longer than shoulder length. We provide a daily snack, but if your child has a preference or dietary need, feel free to pack something. Additional snacks and drinks are also available for purchase at our front desk.
How does school pickup work?
Our staff picks up your child directly from the school bus loop in our newer, air-conditioned Ford Transit vans and transports them safely to our facility. Kids typically arrive between 2:45 and 3:00 PM depending on traffic and dismissal timing.
What does a typical T.U.M.B.L.E. afternoon look like?
Kids arrive, drop their things, and get a snack to refuel. Then it's gym time — active, fun, and a perfect way to shake off the energy built up during the school day. Homework time follows, supervised by staff with computer access for iReady and other school-based programs. Most kids leave with their homework done. After homework it's back to the gym to play, move, and have fun until pickup at 6:00 PM.
How does homework time work?
Homework time is supervised by staff and includes access to computers for iReady and other digital coursework. We take academics seriously — most T.U.M.B.L.E. athletes finish their homework before they go home.
Does my child need gymnastics experience for T.U.M.B.L.E.?
Not at all. Gym time in T.U.M.B.L.E. is open and fun — obstacle courses, floor games, and various equipment — not a structured gymnastics class. Every child finds something they love on the floor.
Can my child take a gymnastics class during T.U.M.B.L.E.?
Absolutely — and it fits seamlessly. If your child is enrolled in a class during aftercare hours, they transition from T.U.M.B.L.E. to class and right back when it's done. It's one of the best perks of the program.
Who can pick up my child from T.U.M.B.L.E.?
For your child's safety, pickup is only permitted by an adult 18 or older who is listed on your account and has a valid photo ID — no exceptions. Come to the front desk, request your child, and our staff will radio for them. They'll be up front shortly.
What time does T.U.M.B.L.E. end and what if I'm late?
The program runs until 6:00 PM. If you arrive after 6:00 PM, a late fee of $1.00 per minute applies. We know life happens — just do your best to be on time
Do you run T.U.M.B.L.E. on early dismissal days or school holidays?
T.U.M.B.L.E. does not run on early dismissal days or school holidays. However, we offer School's Out Day Camp on days when school is not in session — a great option to keep your child active and learning. Register directly on our website.
Are your drivers background checked?
Yes. Our drivers are the same professional staff who work with your children on the gym floor every day. They hold the same background check and SafeSport certifications required of all TGR coaches. The people in that van are the same people you already trust.
How do I enroll in T.U.M.B.L.E. or cancel if needed?
Enrollment works just like our regular classes — sign up through our website and you're in on a continuous basis. If you ever need to stop, we require one month's notice. Contact our front desk and they'll handle everything.
What if my child gets hurt during T.U.M.B.L.E.?
We have a First Aid certified staff member on site at all times. Minor incidents are handled on site and reported to you at pickup. For anything more significant, we administer first aid and contact you immediately.
How does T.U.M.B.L.E. handle behavior?
Our professional coaches understand that every child is different. Whether a child needs a few minutes to reset or some encouragement to push through a challenge, our staff handles it with patience and care. Our goal is a positive afternoon, every day.
